In a bid to ditch my ‘Dubai 15’ (similar to the Freshman one but for expats!) I decided it was time to take on a new challenge – the C25K, this stands for ‘Couch to 5 K’ and the idea is that a total couch potato could become a 5K runner in a matter of weeks.  It sounds ambitious but I have heard good things and decided it was time to at least give it a try.  I’ve convinved a friend to try it with me because I believe in strength in numbers.  We started last night and actually enjoyed it…because I had a positive experience (well for now!)  I thought i’d share it with others in the hope that maybe more people will try this.  The APP we got is by the BBC and you can choose Sarah Milican’s voice which is hilarious…I thoroughly recommend her as a motivator!  It seems there are all sorts of benefits to running beyond weight loss…watch this space, maybe there is a marathon in my future!
